ONE UNIVERSITY, INFINITE POSSIBILITIES
We see the HKUST Info Day 2014 as a brand, not only an event. The Olympic Game is the main inspiration. But we inject the element “Science” into it.
• It is a broad yet identical idea to project the University’s Info Day as a unified image, but still can embrace the different learning areas (The 6 schools) for their individualities.
• Olympic Game is a symbol of energy, friendship and carnival, while “Science” suggests infinity and possibilities.
• We merge these two main elements, plus the consideration of the 6 schools, to create a brand new logo (the infinity ring) for the event.
• We modify those sport event icons in a creative yet witty way to become “Science-related”. This provokes surprises and talking points.
• The chemical reaction between these two things reflects what Science meant “Infinite Possibilities”

Our works included design, production and management, through the process. Items produced included the whole identity including main image, posters and leaflet, banners, backdrop, website, sculptures, souvenirs and etc...
